About

Sunswept Flower Farm

Hello, my name is Kelsey and I am the writing the text for our website. I have called Sunswept Farm my home for the past 8 years. My husband, Raphael or Raphe for short, was raised on our farm. Around his first birthday (1982) his parents bought 5 acres in a small community called Spring Creek, North Carolina. Much has changed in the past 40 years but our core purpose holds true:  This homestead is haven to educate, heal, and above all to have the freedom to be yourself….

Raphe and I first started dating in the Springtime. I vividly remember my first visit to Sunswept Farm with all the lovely spring blooms. I had no clue there were so many dirrent varieties of daffodils; I think we have about 20 cultivars of just daffodils. From that moment on I have delighted to share beautiful bouquets with friends and family. Even the smallest handful of flowers can brightens someones day and in that moment I truly feel pure joy.

In 2020 we brought home one honeybee NUCs, but this wasn’t our first attempt at beekeeping. In 2009 Raphe took a beekeeping class and later brought home 3 NUCs. For many reasons those hive all failed. Flash forward to 2022 we have sucessfully overwintered 8 healthy hives. This year we aim to share even more of our small batch, unfiltered, raw local honey with you.
